CNC Grinding
Grinding is a finishing process used to improve surface finish, roughen hard materials, and tighten the tolerance on flat and cylindrical surfaces by removing a small amount of material.
Grinding can produce flatness tolerances of less than ±0.0025 mm on a 127 x 127 mm steel surface if the surface is adequately supported.
Our extensive grinding facilities include many machines capable of producing internal and external cylindrical work, surface grinding and honing. Some of our internal machines are fitted with high speeds spindles which, running at over 100 000 rpm, are used for producing very fine finishes in hard metals and cemented carbides. Many of our machines are fitted with Diaform and Optidress units which enable the grinding of complex forms with great accuracy.
Our CNC Turning can accommodate a maximum part size of Ø 508mm x 431mm

Precision Grinding
This Setting Master has highly tolerenced ground cones at either end. During the heat treatment process the material expands, which requires further grinding to ensure the accuracy of the tolerenced cones.

Precision CNC Grinding
Roll over tool: used in the automotive industry, the tool contains a carbide insert. The carbide is very hard with low electrical resistivity although a brittle material the steel exterior enhances the toughness and durability of the tool.
